🎉 Happy New Year from LittleBig! 🎉
As we ring in 2026, I’ve been reflecting on the lessons, challenges, and incredible people that made 2025 such a meaningful year. What stood out most isn’t just the work we did — it’s why we do it. LittleBig was built to support the hard-working folks bringing projects to life, and this past year reminded me of that purpose in the most powerful ways.
❤️ 2025: A Year of Real Connections
At its heart, LittleBig exists for the people doing the hands-on work — small contractors, laborers, DIY homeowners, and neighbors transforming their spaces. From earthwork and landscaping to trenching, hauling, site prep, and all the unpredictable problem-solving that real projects bring, I’ve had the privilege of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with folks tackling big ideas with grit and heart.
Growing With Our Community
I’m honored to now serve on the board of the El Sobrante Chamber of Commerce, working with passionate business owners who are committed to strengthening our local economy and community spirit. For the past three years, LittleBig has proudly organized and participated in the El Sobrante Stroll, a celebration that brings families, artists, neighbors, and small businesses together in a joyful display of community identity. These moments remind me that building isn’t always about heavy tools — sometimes it’s about showing up, collaborating, and celebrating togetherness.
I’ve also enjoyed teaming up with Triangle Works, a local volunteer organization, to bring inspiring mural and beautification projects to life — art that reflects pride in our neighborhoods and invites everyone to feel ownership in the spaces where we live and work.
🍽️Caring for Our Neighbors
For four years running, LittleBig has supported a holiday food distribution program through SFDPH + Livable Cities, helping provide produce and turkeys to families in need. Contributing equipment and logistical support to a project rooted in dignity, care, and access is a powerful reminder that small business can do good in big ways.
🛠️Partners Who Inspire Us
LittleBig wouldn’t be what it is without the small, values-driven companies that consistently show up, do great work, and trust me to support their projects:
BWD Gardens does beautiful, thoughtful landscape design and build work throughout the Bay Area. Beyond the quality of their projects, what I really appreciate is how they approach their work — collaborative, intentional, and rooted in respect for both people and place. They’ve been a steady LittleBig customer, and it’s been a pleasure supporting their builds and watching their projects come together.
Root Volume is a worker-owned landscaping cooperative doing regenerative, design-driven outdoor work. Their commitment to cooperative ownership, permaculture ethics, and long-term thinking aligns deeply with why I built LittleBig in the first place. Supporting their projects feels like supporting a shared vision for what the trades can look like.
These businesses — and many others like them — are the backbone of LittleBig’s success so far. Working with people who care about craft, fairness, and community makes the work better for everyone.
🚀 Looking Ahead: What 2026 Holds
2026 is all about leveling up — not just in what we do, but how we make an impact. Here are some of the big goals we’re excited to work toward:
✨ Securing a C-12 contractor license for earthwork and paving
🚧 Expanding our fleet and customer base to serve city and public contracts
🤝 Deepening relationships with laborers and small contractors
📚 Seeking funding and partners to build a worker center for training and opportunity
🎨 Growing community partnerships that blend construction, creativity, and opportunity
If this vision resonates with you, I’d love to connect! Whether you’re a funder, contractor, community partner, artist, organizer, or simply someone who believes in building stronger local systems, I’m always open to conversations and collaboration. And if you know someone in your network who might be excited about this work, please feel free to share this with them.
🙏 Thank You
To everyone who worked with LittleBig this past year — whether you rented equipment, referred a friend, shared advice, or cheered from the sidelines — thank you.
This business is built project by project, relationship by relationship, and your trust means everything.
